Heaven's Rule on Earth ... Through Man
The fundamental message of the Bible is not primarily about a religion or about religious rituals. It is the story about the restoration of man's relationship with God and the reestablishment of Heaven's rule on planet earth..., through mankind. Governing earth from Heaven through man is not man's idea; it is God's idea and plan. "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule ... over all the earth....'" Genesis 1:26. And Scripture teaches us, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9
Religion
Religion has always been at odds with the kingdom of God. Religion serves as a substitute for the Kingdom. Religion is what preoccupies man and is what man is inclined to do until he rediscovers the Kingdom.
Government
It's within the DNA of man, God's image-bearers, to govern and mankind has invented and tried many ways of governing: feudalism, dictatorship, communism, socialism, and democracy. Democracy, as we know it, is man's best form of civil government and it has served many nations well as it gives a voice to the people. While being ruled by the majority rule of the people themselves is far superior to being ruled by a single person who could turn into a tyrant, history teaches us that "we the people" are also capable of making terrible choices when we become sovereign in our own eyes and presume that we are capable as functioning as a god.
Royal Family
The Bible is not about religion and the Bible was never intended to be a religious book. It's about a King, a Kingdom, and a royal family of children. The Bible is a story about the desire of a King to extend his Kingdom to his newly created territory of earth through mankind, the newly created royal members of his family.
